Nine (9) months to the day- Harry Farrar was born.  Mother Sharon started a popular Scottish Highland dance school, that would eventually create several dance champions. This included Harry’s brother, Bruce and countless others over the course of 40 years. Today the latest generational dance champion is Cassidy Farrar, Harry’s daughter. Interestingly enough Harry’s wife Amanda, also was a dance champ from the dance school. She also grew up in the house five doors down…

Birthday Surprise Bag Piper Near Me !

With a dance school, obviously! a bagpiper was needed. Interestingly, at the age 10, Harry began taking lessons from a respected teacher in the Southland-Jim Thompson and James McColl. Harry joined several bagpipe bands over the years and competed in a few solo contests along the way. And, at age 18, Harry took out a $2 a month listing in the ATT Yellow Pages. And the phone number +1 (818) 716-7522.  Amazingly, this number remains the “Bagpiper For Hire” since 1981.   ( And now Birthdaybagpiper.com )

Over the years Harry Sr. continued to perform professionally with the bagpipes for hundreds of celebrities  And, more importantly, many thousands of great folks who love the sound. Also, the culture and history of -all things Scotland. Fortunately, Ireland has found a way into the “play list”. Notably, a growing referrals and new business gigs increasing, other pipers and drummers joined in on live events like weddings, TV/Filmparties, Burn’s dinners and March 17th. Indeed, these talented entertainers included: Tim, Mike, and Chris Huntley, George MacGillvray, and Kevin McBrien as “Drum Major”. (aka Drunken Major) . RIP Kevin, November 2024
